The pace of change

Well a few weeks have passed and I haven't managed to add anything to my blog. Everyone seems to be under so much pressure and there are limits to how many new things you can try in a week! I know I've had a chance to 'try out' more than most, but then I don't get the same chance to put them into daily practice as I'm not in my own class all the time! But if I was in my own class all the time, I wouldn't have had all the opportunities to see all these new things!

I just keep throwing comments in when people are discussing ideas and hoping that someone will take me up on my offers to come and experiment with their classes! I know many teachers are put off by the fact they don't know enough about the technology, but the children can manage by themselves if they get the chance to start blogging or playing virtual games.

Be adventurous!

Amazing!

Now I have got the hang of this, who knows what I'll be able to add! A successful day's work!

Success!

Well after many attempts, and a few e-mails to Ewan McIntosh for advice, I managed to get that badge! Now I just have to figure out how to get the clock.....

Learning to use Flickr

Having spent two days at SETT last week, I'm now experimenting with some of the things I saw there, or have heard about before and haven't had time to try! I go as far as uploading my pictures to Flickr and downloading the Flickr Uploader -made my pictures take up much less space! Now I just need to figure out how to get my lovely Flickr badge on the Blog and I'll feel I have done a good day's work!

The question is, should I be doing this or should I be developing my Portfolio for my Chartered Teacher File? Is this Personal Development? I think so, but how can I show how much time I have spent? Young people could no doubt pick this up in a fraction of the time!

Any advice??
